Other ServicesOur current town tax rate is $.38 per $100 valuation. For a helpful listing of various telephone numbers, for both Town services and also for services within Davie County, please refer to information listed on this website. Garbage Disposal service provided by GDS-Davie. Citizens provide their own garbage cans (3) and three 32- gallon cans are the maximum per week. Scheduled pickup is early Tuesday morning each week. Suggest you place your garbage out on Monday nights... please NO YARD WASTE!! Recycling is provided by Davie County with GDS-Davie and is on the same day as your garbage pick-up day. Please have your recyclables at the curb by 7am. Place all recycle materials in the 18-gallon bin that GDS-Davie has provided for you. Items that are accepted for recycling are: Mixed paper such as magazines, catalogs, junk mail, office paper, empty cereal boxes and phone books, aluminum cans, plastic soda bottles, milk jugs and newspaper. If you have any questions, please call GDS-Davie at 336 751-1585. In the spring and fall of each year, the Town sponsors Clean-Up Days where residents can, put out at curbside, items that they want to discard. Please call Town Hall at 284-2141 for further details about Clean-Up Days.
